For Mentors

Architect real projects. Mentor real engineers. Set your own hours.

You've shipped production software. We need senior engineers to scope client work, lead complex builds, review junior PRs, and unblock mentees. No standups, no politics. Just the parts of the job you already enjoyed.

The deal

You bring senior engineering judgment. We bring the projects, the mentees, the admin, and the payouts. Pick which services you offer: architecture, code review, mentoring, leading complex projects, or building them end-to-end. Any combination. We'll only match you to gigs in the lanes you signed up for. No staff meetings, no on-call, no JIRA tickets assigned to you.

Services you can offer

Two flavours of work, five services in total. Pick whichever you want. You'll only be matched to gigs in the lanes you signed up for.

Per-event work

Async or scheduled. Fit them around your day job.

Solution Architecture

Take a client brief and turn it into a buildable system. Stack choice, module breakdown, slot plan for junior devs. Done up-front, before the first PR opens.

  • Read the brief, ask the right questions
  • Produce architecture, stack, and slot plan
  • Hand off to the build team. You're not on-call after

Pricing

Scoped per project

Code Review

Review junior PRs against a real codebase. Catch what they missed, teach what they didn't see. Asynchronous: fit it around your day job.

  • Detailed PR review with rationale
  • 48-hour turnaround expected
  • Pays per review, not per hour

Pricing

€25 / review

Mentoring

1:1 calls, code walkthroughs, unblocking conversations. Help juniors think like seniors: debugging, design choices, career questions.

  • Scheduled sessions on your calendar
  • Mix of unblocking and career guidance
  • Cancel or reschedule with notice. No penalty

Pricing

€50 / hour

Per-project commitments

Bigger scope, bigger payout. Scoped at the start of each project.

Mentor Lead

Own the technical direction on a complex client project while apprentices implement under your guidance. Best fit for Enterprise-tier projects where there's a real system to think about, not just a feature to bolt on.

  • Architecture, stack choices, and slot plan are yours
  • Review apprentice PRs and unblock them when stuck
  • Sign off on shipped work; you're the senior voice on the build
  • Paid per project, scoped at kickoff

Pricing

Scoped per project

Mentor Build

When a client wants senior engineers executing instead of apprentices. You build the project end-to-end with production-grade quality. Apprentices can shadow or pair on focused tasks if the client wants them included.

  • Hands-on senior delivery, not just supervision
  • End-to-end ownership: architecture, build, ship
  • Quoted with timeline at scoping
  • Higher payout reflecting senior execution

What you get

A second income stream that respects your time, your stack preferences, and the parts of engineering you actually like.

Predictable side income

€50/hr for mentoring sessions, €25 per code review. Payouts on a regular schedule. No chasing invoices, no client-management overhead.

Your services, schedule, and stack

Offer architecture, review, or mentoring. Or just one. Set your weekly availability. Pick projects whose stack you actually want to touch.

A public reputation

Featured on our Team page, with mentee testimonials. The kind of credibility that beats a generic LinkedIn headline.

A pipeline of future hires

You'll be reviewing the engineers companies are about to hire. First look at the ones you'd want on your own team.

What we need from you

Junior devs and paying clients are depending on you. These are the standards we hold mentors to. They're also why we can charge for the work.

5+ years of production work

We need engineers who've shipped real systems, not just shipped courses about shipping real systems.

  • Multiple production deployments under your belt
  • Strong in at least one core stack we work in
  • Experience reviewing other people's code, formally or informally

Mentor-grade communication

The best mentors explain why a change matters, not just what to change.

  • Constructive code review that doesn't humiliate juniors
  • Comfortable saying "I don't know, let me check"
  • Can break down architecture decisions in plain language

Reliable cadence

Junior devs and paying clients are blocked when you're slow. We expect you to be predictable, not always-on.

  • Code reviews returned within 48 hours
  • Scheduled mentoring sessions kept (or rescheduled in advance)
  • Honest about your bandwidth. Under-promise, over-deliver

How it works

From your first application to your first payout. Five steps, no recruiter pipeline to navigate.

    01

    Apply

Send us your CV, GitHub, or LinkedIn. Tell us your stack and your weekly availability.

    02

    We vet you

Short call with our team. Walk us through a real architecture decision you've made.

    03

    We match you to work

You only see gigs in the services and stack you signed up for. Take what fits your week, skip what doesn't.

    04

    You do the senior work

Architect, review, or mentor: whichever services you opted into. Asynchronous where it can be, scheduled where it needs to be.

    05

    You get paid

Hours logged, reviews counted, payouts on a regular schedule. No invoicing dance.

Ready to teach the next wave?

Send us your CV, GitHub, or LinkedIn. Whichever best represents the work you've shipped. We'll review within a few business days and set up a short call. If it's a fit, you'll be reviewing PRs on your first project the week after.

You'll fit in if you're…

  • A senior or staff engineer with at least one stack you're known for
  • Someone who already mentors informally and wishes it paid
  • A freelancer / contractor wanting steady side income between client gigs
  • Burned out on full-time roles but not on the engineering itself
